AIQ uses PINs primarily as an additional security measure to ensure the deliverability and integrity of text message campaigns. This is especially useful for messages sent to large audiences or when experiencing filtration issues with carriers.
- Notification: The customer receives a text message notifying them of a new message.
- Link and PIN Entry: The message includes a link that directs the customer to a PIN code page.
- Verification:
- Last 4 of their number customer enters the last four digits of their phone number to unlock the message.
- 2FA over 10DLC the customer enters the PIN sent via registered 10DLC to unlock the message
- Access: After entering the correct PIN, the customer is redirected to the landing page with your message.
Contact your Customer Success manager or support to turn on PIN codes for texting.
You can test the pin code functionality via the Campaign builder by clicking the preview link in the SMS builder and using 1234 which is the test pin code for all SMS previews
