Pin Codes
Do you want to decrease the amount of carrier filtration? AIQ launched Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to add another layer of protection to your important SMS/MMS messages. This is a one-time security check a customer will go through when they first open one of your SMS/MMS messages.
The customer journey will look like this:
After 2FA is enabled, the first time a customer clicks on a link in your Default marketing notice message, they'll be prompted with a one-time SEND VERIFICATION PIN message. The customer will enter that verification pin and be taken to the landing page to see the message.
The next time they click on the link, they'll be sent directly to the message.
Customers will need to re-enter a verification pin if they end up using a different browser or device.
- Increased deliverability.
- Less filtration.
- Higher level of security.
- Increased ROI, open rates, and conversions for messages sent.
If you joined AIQ after December 5th, 2022, sit back and do nothing as this is the default setting.
If you're using the Light protection level, head to Settings > Texting Settings, and under FILTRATION PROTECTION LEVELS, click the PREMIUM option and you'll be all set.
If you're already using Premium but don't have 2FA enabled, head to Settings > Texting Settings and hover over the You are currently using an outdated/unsupported setting! and click on the option to Require pin code (2FA over 10DLC)
