Organization Brand Database

organizations can manage their own brands directly within the aiq ecommerce web app when displaying brand data, aiq ecommerce follows this priority organization brand database aiq global brand database if a match is found in your organization's database, that data will always be used setting up your brand database navigate to menu > brands to begin managing brands for your organization brand fields explained locations which locations do you want this brand to apply to? this will default to all locations, but if you want to have different brand descriptions for each location, you can use this to filter by location name this is the parent brand name products that have a brand that matches the name will have the logo and description filled out on product detail pages aliases any aliases listed here will now appear on your menu as the brand's parent name here's how it works if i have the brand name set to aiq and under aliases i include alpine iq , all products with a brand of aiq or alpine iq will now appear as aiq this is used to clean data coming from your pos as needed description the description of the brand will be visible on your product detail pages and brand pages logo the logo of the brand will be visible on your product detail pages and brand pages add a new brand manual entry select the add button (+) in the top right hand corner fill out all of the fields, see above for the description save repeat for each brand you want to add csv upload if you would prefer, you can do a csv upload of your brands select the more option ( ) download csv template add all of your brands to the csv brand name description aliases (seperated by commas) venue ids (seperated by commas, blank for all locations) logo url ( png recommended) delete a brands select one or more brands using the checkboxes one the more ( ) menu choose bulk delete to remove all brands at once, select delete all brands from the same menu faq's if i add my own brands in, will we still see brands pull through from aiq's global brand database? yes, you will still see brands from our global database only if we do not find a match in your organizations brand database if you wish to override our global brand details, simply upload one in your brand database whats the benefit of using the brand databases? there are many benefits for using the brand databases including giving your customers information about brands to help drive purchase decisions and giving bots (google, ai, etc) more information to crawl
