Stripe
If you are using our SEO Menu and proxying to your own domain, you must both Enable Stripe and Register your domain. If you are using Apple Pay at checkout, you must also Verify your domain. See steps below.
If you are using our Basic Menu (URL hosted by AIQ Ecommerce), you must only Enable Stripe, you can skip the Registration and Verification steps.
Stripe does not support payment processing for highly-regulated industries.
For restricted industries like CBD, tobacco, and vape/e-cigarette companies, approval from Stripe is required to use their payment platform..
- Navigate to Store > Integrations
- In the integrations table, click on Stripe
- Click "Connect with Stripe" button.
- Note: The Account ID field will be disabled as you must make the connection via Stripe.
- You will be redirected to Stripe Connect. You can either create a Stripe account (if you're new to Stripe) or connect an existing account. Follow the steps as provided by Stripe.
- After you've completed this step in Stripe, you will be redirected back to AIQ Ecommerce. Your Account ID will be automatically filled in.
- Click Save
- Accept the terms and conditions
Your Stripe account has been setup, but you will need to do the following step to actually see your Stripe-enabled payment methods (e.g. Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) at checkout.
- Navigate to Store > Integrations
- In the integrations table, click on Stripe
- We will pull your Menu URL from your Store Settings > SEO page. If you have not filled this out yet, please do so (there will be a link to it).
- Click the "Register Domain" button.
- Once registered, you will see a confirmation.
If you’re using Apple Pay at checkout, you need to verify ownership of your domain with Apple.
- Reach out to the AIQ support team to request your domain association file
- After receiving the file via email, upload it to your domain at the following location: /.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association
- Verify that the file is correctly set up by visiting {your store’s domain}/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association
- You should see a file downloaded
- Once confirmed, navigate back via Store > Integrations > Stripe and click on the "Verify Domain" button.
- Once successfully verified, you will see a green checkmark and "Domain Verified"
