AIQ will automatically merge personas if we see matching phone number, email, or other unique pieces of PII (personal identifiable information) - or you can manually merge personas.

What if a merge resulted in missing personas?

When a persona is merged into another persona, the merged persona will no longer be available via search. To search for missing personas who you believe have been merged into another persona type merge:{{phone number OR email}}, for example:

What if the wrong information is attached to the persona because of a merge?

To identify the merge issue:

  1. Navigate to Customers > Personas > Persona Detail 
  2. Navigate to the History tab and you will see the "Merges" subtab.
    • Note: If a persona has 0 merges, the “Merges” subtab will not be present.
  3. From the Merge subtab you can see:
    • AIQ Universal ID:
      • The ID which AIQ uses to identify the persona
    • The list of Persona merges:
      • Platform: Platform this persona was merged from (ecom/pos/loyalty signup)
      • AIQ ID: Identity of this merged persona
      • Date Imported: Date AIQ first noticed this persona
      • Source ID: ID associated with the persona from the imported platform
    • Merged Persona PII
  4. If you want update the Persona to the correct information, navigate to the General tab and scroll to the Traits section and edit.
