About AIQ's integration with TechPOS

Our integration with TechPOS gives you the ability to:

  • Create club members directly in the POS
  • Apply AIQ discounts directly in the POS
  • Pull all transactional data into AIQ from the POS

How to connect AIQ to TechPOS

1. Email [email protected] to request the following information

  • API Key
  • Subdomain
  • StoreID
  • LocationIDs

2. In AIQ, navigate to Settings > Integrations > TechPOS. Click Connect.

3. Copy-paste your credentials obtained from TechPOS in the corresponding fields.

StoreID and LocationIDS should only be filled if this value was given to you by TechPOS. Putting values in these fields potentially means AIQ will only pull sales or customer data from these certain locations. If you change these settings it is not retroactive, meaning it will not make that data that was skipped now appear.

4. Enable the toggle "All users are age compliant with my industry?"

5. Complete the integration by clicking Update Connection.

6. You have connected TechPOS and AIQ will start pulling data. Contacts sourced from TechPOS will show as "techpos" in the Sourced from column of your personas page

The initial "data pull" can take up to 12 hours. Contact your Onboarding Specialist if you don't see personas after this time period has passed

7. AIQ needs to map the TechPOS API key to the store location you set up in the AIQ to attribute sales data to that location and assign a Favorite store to customers. To set this up, open your AIQ dashboard, click Settings in the top-left corner, and click Manage store(s)

8. Click the white Customize button next to the location

9. Under Map stores is a TechPOS symbol. Click the empty field next to that symbol, select the key/location that populates, and click Save settings

If nothing appears when you click in the field, the key may have been entered incorrectly and you should contact your Onboarding Specialist to assist you. Keep in mind you will need to do this every time you add a location

Creating a Loyalty Member in TechPOS

In TechPOS, head to your Member List and click + ADD NEW MEMBER

In order to create a new club member in AIQ, you must add a mobile phone number and check the consent box at the bottom of the profile. This will create a new member in AIQ and trigger an SMS opt-in message to be sent out. Click Save and the creation of a Club member in AIQ is complete

If checking out a customer that has an existing TechPOS profile, you can register them for a club membership by clicking AIQ DISCOUNTS in the top right of the checkout screen and clicking REGISTER

Setting up discounts

1.Create the discount as you normally would inside AIQ. Watch the video below to see the settings needed to pass your AIQ discount to TechPOS





After you create the discount in AIQ it will automatically be available in TechPOS as long as there is a % or $ off value entered under the Redemption Options

Applying AIQ discounts in TechPOS

When checking a customer out in TechPOS, you need to assign a member to the order in order to apply an AIQ discount. Click MEMBER SEARCH in the top left corner of the checkout screen and input the customer's phone number to add them to the order

Once the customer is added, click ADD AIQ DISCOUNT. A 2FA code will be sent to the customer that they'll need to give you in order to see available discounts. Once you enter the code, that customer's available AIQ discounts will pop up. Simply click REDEEM and the discount will be applied to the entire order
