Voice memo drops
Alpine IQ is excited to announce a brand new groundbreaking channel called Voice Drop. All of the messages come as a phone call or voicemail left by either a personally recorded memo directly in the dashboard, uploading a static audio file, or by typing in a message and letting groundbreaking AI-generated synthetic voices communicate your message for you. We can generate tens of thousands of AI audio files personalized to each individual using macros. Voice Drop can be distributed to opted-in phone numbers. This includes already opted-in text member subscribers, ensuring our customers don't lose their member base while diversifying their text message risk. Not only that, but you can generate messages in other languages and even accents. These messages ring from an inviting caller ID that references the store they are receiving the message from.

With this path, users can simply type in a message with text, add personalization macros, and AIQ will automatically convert it to an AI voice. This voice can be modified by selecting variants:

The tech: Neural2 embodies the newest advancements in artificial voice production, enabling users to harness Custom Voice capabilities without the need to train a unique voice. Using WaveNet, it produces speech that has a more lifelike quality compared to other text-to-speech platforms. It crafts speech with a closer resemblance to human nuances, stressing syllables, phonemes, and words. When a message with no macros is used, it's simple to create a single voice file that sends to thousands of users. When you create one with macros, every single message to each audience member needs to contain personalized speech. We generate 10’s of thousands of mp3 files from Neural2 and pump them into our CDN, where they are stored and distributed in seconds.
This option lets you simply record a voice memo directly within the AIQ campaign creation tool. It requires that your device has a microphone and that you authorize the browser to record via that microphone. You simply tap "record" and then "stop recording" once you have completed your memo. You then can preview/ listen/ clear your previous recording/ or save it for use in your campaign.
This option lets you upload a file (MP3, WAV file with a 2 min max length + 5 MB file size max)
- You may attach a discount to your voice drop template so that it appears in the recipient persona's wallet once the voice drop is sent to them. Examples, you select a discount for 20% off that you have pre-configured in AIQ, you then create a Voice Drop that says "Hi Hannah, this is Nick from XYZ Brand. I wanted to let you know that I put a 20% off discount into your loyalty wallet for being a VIP customer. You can use the discount anytime over the next couple of weeks. I hope to see you soon."
- What hours of the day can sending occur? 9-9 pm local time for the device (traveling devices cannot be tracked and default to their normal native timezone). Please note that messages can arrive and be sent faster the shorter they are in time duration.
- What are the rules and requirements around calling customers? Honor FCC, TCPA, DoNotCall registry
- When will a customer receive the product/discount code mentioned in the recording? The minute the voicemail is received
- What happens when a customer calls the number back The call is denied in version 1
- What happens if a customer opts out of voice drop They will only be opted out of Voice Drop but will remain opted-in to any other messaging channel they were already opted into including text.
- How do customers Opt-In? Text the word "VOICE" to a join number, signup forms, double opt-in confirmation post persona record ingestion
- How do customers Opt-out? Select 9 on your dial pad
- How long should my voice drop be?
- Recommendation of 1 min. Messages less than 1 minute will automatically be repeated until about 50-59 seconds right now per phone carrier requirements. Carriers consider messages under 1 minute spammy and you incur higher fees. To prevent this we repeat your message and try to close it out with your optout message as close to 59 seconds as possible.

- How am I charged?
- You are charged per minute (1-minute minimum) of Voice Drop messaging. Please keep in mind that we automatically append a 7-second "repeat or optout" message at the end of every Voice Drop that extends the seconds your total sending time takes. This is required to be in compliant with the TCPA.
- Will my voice drop be marked as spam on caller ID?
- Not common, but it can occur if your phone number has been marked. There is no current technology that can detect this but it is not very common to occur.
- What can I expect deliverability to be for Voice Drop?
- 90% is extremely common. However, this is dependent on how many phone numbers you have, if they are active numbers, if they are not on the DoNotCall Registry, etc. The most common reason a message is not delivered is that the phone's network is unavailable.
- Macros available:
- Macros are available for AI voice drops (other than Macros that fill URLs) but not for pre-recorded static files or browser-recorded types.
- How many numbers do I get, and can I customize them?
- You get 1 per store and 1 per Alpine IQ account. We have an extra one for those users without a favorite store set. We do not have the ability to set specific phone numbers other than an area code, which must be requested via Support.
- How long until my Brand shows up on Caller ID?
- Your username for the account will be submitted when the number is purchased. However, it is ultimately up to the carriers to display it on their networks, and we estimate that it will take 1-3 months for it to propagate.
