Cart Discount

A cart discount is a type of promotion that is applied to the total purchase amount of a customer's shopping cart. This can be either a percentage (most common) or dollar amount off.

Example Cart Discount

  • Cart Discount = 10% & Minimum Spend = $50
    • Example 1: Customer cart total = $60 before discounts, so they get 10% off ($6), and the final order = $54
    • Example 2: Customer cart total = $44, they do not apply for the $50 minimum spend

Deal: Flat Amount

A flat amount offer is a type of promotion that applies a fixed dollar amount on specific items in a customer's purchase, regardless of the original purchase price.

Example Flat Amount Offer

  • Buy 2 Pre Rolls for $20
    • This means that if a customer adds 2 pre rolls to their cart, they would get both items for the $20, regardless of their original price.

Deal: Buy X, Get Y aka BOGO

A buy x get y deal is a type of offer that allows customers to purchase a certain number of items (x) and receive a different number of items (y) for free or at a reduced price.

This can be a great way to clear out older inventory, move slow-moving products, or attract new customers by giving them a taste of what the store has to offer.

Example BOGO

  • Buy 1 Pre Roll, get 1 Pre Roll for free

Sale

You can set up sales by individual items, brands, categories, weights, and more. Sales offers will display sales as either a percentage (%) OR a flat ($) amount off.

If more then one sale is setup on a single offer, it will either show the best discount OR it will combine the discounts and list them as percentage off on your menu. This depends on your store's stacking settings, see Discount Stacking.

Example Sales

  • All Pre Rolls 10% off
  • All eighths 20% off
