Menu Age Gate

Many states require that websites display an 'Age Gate' to ensure viewers meet the minimum age requirements (typically 18 or 21) for regulated industries.

You may already have an Age Gate on your main site, and you can optionally show one when a customer enters your menu as well. Some customers may enter your menu directly from a Google search (skipping your main site), so you may want to consider toggling this on even if you have an age gate on your site.

To enable the Age Gate:

  1. Navigate to Store > Settings > Orders
  2. Scroll to the 'Minimum Age' section
  3. Toggle 'Show Age Gate'
  4. Optional: Choose if you want the customer to be required to enter in their DOB (Required for some states)
  5. Save

The age gate will show the minimum age you've set in AIQ Ecommerce as well as your logo, for example:

Enable option to require DOB entry

Some states may require that users input their entire DOB into the age gate. Do to this, simply enable Age Gate requires Date of Birth input

This requires customers to enter in their DOB in the following format MM/DD/YYYY
