Create Co-Marketing Templates

8min

In your AIQ account, select Co-Marketing within the navigation bar, and click Create Template.

Template Info

Enter a Co-Marketing Template Name and Co-Marketing Template Description. These are what the retailer will see when they go to search and/or install your Co-Marketing Template so be sure they both speak to the nature or goal of the Template. Tags and Product Categories give retail users a high-level idea of what's included in the Template in terms of message channels and content. You can also share Media Assets like product images or brand logos that the retailer can save to their device for use on future Co-Marketing Templates.

Audiences & Campaigns

These are the core ingredients of the Template and what you are giving retail users access to as part of the Template.

You can add existing Audiences by clicking '+Add Audience' or 'Create New' audiences directly in the Template builder.

If this is your first time creating an Audience, check out our Audiences guide.

You can add existing Campaigns by clicking the '+Add Campaign' or 'Create New' campaigns similar to adding or creating new Audiences in the previous step.

Important! Any audiences included in the campaign must also be added to INCLUDED AUDIENCES under the Template. You will not be able to save a Template if the audiences do not match.

If this is your first time creating a campaign, check out our Campaign Builder guide.

  • Available on the Co-Marketing Page gives you the ability to set a date that the Template will be available to retailers you selected.
  • Expires from the Co-Marketing Page gives you the ability to set a date that the Template will automatically be removed from the retailer's account.
  • Halt activation of campaigns after is an optional input that will disable the ability for a retailer to activate a Template after a certain date. For Templates containing ongoing campaigns, this feature will also automatically halt/stop that campaign from sending. If you have a promotion with a firm end date, use this feature to ensure customers don't receive messages about promotions that have already expired.

Setting a Budget for Templates

You have the option to fund a portion or the entirety of the campaign sends in the Template. If you select No under Do you want to pay for this campaign? then the retailer will be charged for messages sent from the campaign and will be notified of that.

Select Yes and an option will appear to Set a max budget per selected retailer.

If you opt to not Set a max budget per selected retailer you'll have the option to cover the entirety of messages sent or split the cost by entering the percentage of the messages you will cover.

If you choose to set a budget per selected retailer, a modal will appear to configure your budget.

After you set your Maximum budget you have the option to select Yes / No to Continue sending the campaign. Selecting Yes means that after the budget has been reached, the retailer will be charged for the excess messages sent which they'll be notified of in their dashboard. Selecting No means the campaign will automatically turn off.

You then have the option to Auto-Fill Estimates for the campaign which will override the maximum budget you set. Estimates are calculated by the average campaign spend of that retailer across all messaging channels (SMS, email, native app push, etc). If you have multiple retailers selected to receive this Template, select Divide Equally to allocate estimated spending to each retailer.
