Compliance

1min

You are responsible for ensuring that your store is in compliance with your state's rules.

AIQ Ecommerce has several features to ensure you are in compliance in regulated industries:

  1. Category names: Some states have specific requirements for what you can call a category, you have full control over what name displays on your menu.
  2. Purchase Limits: Used in regulated markets to determine and enforce the max amount of product that can be purchased.
  3. "Recreational" is sometimes referred to as "Non-Medical" in certain states, we comply with these rules.
  4. PIN Codes must be used for self-service ordering in some states, see Kiosk settings.
  5. Taxes can be set per store to comply with your state's tax requirements.
  6. California requires a Prop 65 warning to be shown at checkout for certain product types. We comply with this rule.
  7. Some states don't allow product Reviews (for certain industries), this feature can be turned on/off.
  8. Some states don't allow Deals/Offers (for certain industries), this feature can be turned on/off.
  9. Certain industries require a Menu Age Gate, for which you can optionally require a Date of Birth input.
  10. Regulated terms may not be used in certain communications (e.g. Order texts, our SMS chat feature), we disallow outgoing texts containing these terms.
